Abranny B. Almao-Rivero is a 3rd year medical student at the Universidad Centroccidental “Lisandro Alvarado”, Barquisimeto, Venezuela. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in 2015. She has taken various courses in first aid, pharmacology, cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, microscopic and macroscopic anatomy. She is a regular volunteer of the Sanitary Dermatology Service of the Central Hospital “Antonio María Pineda” where she collaborates with the care of patients with Leishmaniasis and Hansen’s disease. Her research focuses on the epigenetic development acquired in the environment and how it influences the resistance and capacities of the organism. She is part of the Venezuelan Incubator of Science since 2021
